The Living is about some kids that work on a cruise for the summer to make some extra money.  Carmen and Shy just start getting along and next thing you know the boat is sinking and Shy and Carmen lose each other.  Now it is just Shy and Addie, who previously did not get along, on a tiny boat trying to get fresh water and food.
