The book Break Out starts with two-thousand-year-old Ricardo Sanchez, vampire and rogue pilot of the space cruiser, El Cazador. He is basically a mercenary who can’t resist two things, beautiful women, and impossible missions. Skylar Rossaria hires him to break out a murderer from a top of the line, high tech security prison owned by the Collectors. Ricardo takes the mission and quickly finds out that there is more to the mission than just a contract.
