The Remnants are half-angel, half-human beings who live among humans on the Earth. Surrender the Dark is about a member of the Remnants named Celeste Jackson. Celeste lives with her ex-boyfriend Brandon, who is possessed by a demon. On the night she flees from his torture, she glances over her shoulder, and sees that the demon killed Brandon.Celeste thought that she was crazy and everybody else thinks so too, except for her Aunt Niecey. This same night, she meets Azrael, an angel, in a bar. She gradually begins to realize that demons and angels are real, and that there is a "Source of All That Is". There is fierce battle going on between the Light and the Dark. Azrael, has been chosen to find Celeste before the fallen angels do. Celeste and Azrael take a journey up to New York. When they arrive at NewYork, Azrael and Celeste team up with Azrael's angel friends that have become Sentinels. There is a battle between the Light and Dark over Celeste. The Dark wants her to become dark so that the Light cannot win the war. Will Celeste stay faithful to the Light or will the Dark have finally broken her spirit?

Opinion:

Surrender the Dark is a very good book. The plot and characters have a quality about them that leaves you wanting to know more. L.A. Banks has written an amazing story with a lot of interesting details. Celeste is the perfect main character because of what she has gone through in her life with the demons. Azrael can make anyone believe in angels. He and Celeste make a good match and are very realistic characters. The plot in this book moves along at a good pace. This book is an excellent read for people who enjoy paranormal romance.
