This book is centered around a boy named Alex who's a "spinner" and has been in a wheelchair since birth. He has been constantly bullied and made fun of by his peers. He has already been kicked out of many foster homes due to his supernatural abilities. He doesn't understand why he was born with these super powers.

Alex is currently living with a sadistic housemother who is abusing her kids and making Alex use his powers to heal the kids that she abuses. Later, it is revealed that their teacher has been murdered and a substitute has taken the teacher's place. Alex plans on finding out the truth about what's going on. In the process, he also finds the truth about his abilities and the cost associated with them. Will he survive?

Opinion:

I really liked this book; I found it interesting and engaging. I didn't want to put it down, as I was completely absorbed in what would happen next. For this reason, I finished this book quickly. I liked the mystery surrounding Alex's powers. I found his powers very exciting. I felt bad that he didn't have any friends and was bullied all the time. In addition, the fact that his wheelchair had limited many things in his life didn't seem fair. I would highly recommend this book to my friends. I found it to be an amazing read. The only thing that I had disliked was the inclusion of some offensive language. Overall, I loved this book.
